Online application opens for Summer Session (May to August) and Winter Session (September to April). Students can apply online.
Canadian students (citizens and permanent residents): Deadline to apply for Winter Session (September to April) to be considered for a Major Entrance Scholarship.
Deadline to apply for Summer Session (May to August). However, the application will remain open for Visiting, Unclassified, and Access Studies applicants.

High school grades are submitted to UBC for Canadian secondary school applicants.
February to May
Admission decisions are made for most Canadian and international secondary school applicants.
March to July
Canadian students (citizens and permanent residents) submit required documents to UBC.
International students: Deadline to submit your required documents to UBC.
Deadline to submit documents in support of meeting the English Language Admission Standard (ELAS).
Canadian students (citizens and permanent residents) are notified if they will be receiving a UBC Entrance Award.
Deadline to apply to the Science One program.
Deadline to submit housing applications to be eligible for priority access.
International students: Apply for your study permit. Study permits can take up to four months to process, so it’s essential that you apply for it as soon as you accept your UBC offer.
Deadline to accept your offer of admission to UBC and to pay your acceptance deposit. For offers made after May 15, check your admission letter for deadlines.
Students with a housing guarantee are notified of housing offers.
Course registration opens for first-year students.
Deadline for U.S. students to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to ensure loan funding for September.
Canadian students (citizens and permanent residents): Recommended deadline to apply for Canadian and provincial loans to ensure funds for September and to qualify for UBC’s bursary programs.
Deadline to request deferred admission.
Deadline to apply for early arrival to residence. (Jump Start and Kick Start participants do not need to apply.)
Jump Start orientation for international and Aboriginal students.
Move-in day on UBC’s Vancouver campus. (Jump Start participants will be notified of their move-in day.)
First day of classes and all students attend Imagine UBC orientation.
First instalment of Winter Session tuition is due.
