If you receive an offer of admission to UBC’s Okanagan campus or you are an Aboriginal student with an offer of admission to either the Okanagan or Vancouver campus, and you are a high school student living in Canada – and your high school is located in Canada – you may be eligible for our travel reimbursement program to attend one of our Destination UBC events.
April 27–29: Destination UBC Aboriginal Student Welcome on UBC’s Vancouver campus (Aboriginal students)
May 10: Indigenous Welcome on UBC’s Okanagan campus (Aboriginal students)
May 11–13: Destination UBC on UBC’s Okanagan campus

You will be joined by local, new-to-UBC students from Vancouver. |
Saturday evening | Take a trip downtown for dinner – and explore the city of Vancouver while you’re there. |
Sunday morning | It’s your last morning on campus. Enjoy breakfast and make your way home. |

You will be joined by local, new-to-UBC students from Kelowna. |
Saturday evening | Hang out on campus with your new friends. We will keep you well fed and entertained! |
Sunday morning | It’s your last morning on campus. Enjoy breakfast and make your way home. |
Please note: The Friday and Sunday portions of Destination UBC are only for students who are eligible for the travel reimbursement program and for students participating in the Aboriginal programming. All other participants are welcome to join the Saturday programming.
UBC will provide supervision for the full weekend program, keeping visiting high school students safe and connected throughout their time on campus. Destination UBC Leaders are trained, upper-level undergraduate students, who will guide visiting students through activities and live in residence for the duration of the program.
Parents are welcome to attend information sessions and tours during the main Destination UBC events on Saturday, April 28. Parents must arrange their own accommodations and transportation if you intend to visit for the weekend.
