Operations and Logistics is the flow of goods, information, and money throughout an organization. It encompasses aspects of finance, marketing, and accounting, and gives a broad picture of company operations. You will learn about the efficiency and effectiveness of various transportation alternatives, warehousing and distribution, supply chain management, and performance and inventory measurement techniques.

The option will prepare you for careers with carriers, logistics functions in manufacturing and distribution firms, and government departments, and include training in transport economics and management, government investment, and regulatory programs affecting transportation and utilities, and business logistics. Courses emphasize current and applied problems and the use of computers in management and problem solving.

Campus features

The Sauder School of Business offers Commerce-specific exchange programs and summer programs in Shanghai and Europe. Facilities include the David Lam Management Research Library and the Business Career Centre.
