On-campus events

Throughout the year, we host special on-campus events so you can get answers to your questions, find out what it's like to be a UBC student, and connect with current students, faculty, and advisors. Come see what UBC is all about!

Indigenous Welcome

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Indigenous Welcome at UBC Okanagan has been cancelled. We would have loved to meet you at this event, but we are aware that, because of the global concerns around COVID-19, there is some anxiety about attending group gatherings at this current time. We hope you will agree that cancelling this event is the right thing to do.

If you are a First Nations, Métis, or an Inuit high school student in Canada, the Indigenous Welcome is your chance to visit UBC Okanagan and connect with the Aboriginal community before you arrive in the fall. We’ll give you advice on transitioning to university life, and connect you with current students in your faculty or degree who can share helpful insider tips.

Aboriginal high school students admitted to the Okanagan campus are invited to both the Indigenous Welcome and Destination UBC events, and may also be eligible for a full travel reimbursement.
