- Dedicated strategic partnerships team: UBC assigns dedicated Advisors to facilitate smooth communication and support between sponsors, sponsored students, and the university.
- Customized support: Our comprehensive support services include in-country pre-departure gatherings and personalized virtual one-on-one guidance to assist sponsored students in seamlessly becoming part of the campus community.
- Online learning opportunities: To expand access to world-class education, UBC is proud to offer free access to select online courses through the edX platform.
Exploring edX Courses
As part of our commitment to providing valuable resources, UBC is excited to offer sponsors and their students access to a selection of free online courses. These courses cover a wide range of subjects, from humanities to STEM, and are taught by UBC’s renowned faculty. We believe that access to high-quality online education can be a transformative experience, and we are delighted to share this opportunity with our partners.
Getting Started with edX
Currently, UBC provides access to 65 free interactive online classes through edX only. Enrolling in these courses enables individuals to dive into these courses, access the materials, and have a blast learning! Navigating the edX platform is easy, and here’s how you can get started:
- Visit the edX platform: Head to the edX website and explore the course catalog to discover a wealth of knowledge waiting to be unlocked.
- Create an account: Individuals can create free accounts on edX to access course materials.
- Enroll in courses: Once an account is created, participants can enroll in their desired courses and begin their online learning journey. Some UBC courses on edX offer a certificate of completion as well.
