For Rachel Vukovich, making the transition to university life was easy. “It didn’t take long to make new friends. There was so much to explore. I really felt like I was part of something.” Rachel is a Kinesiology student with an interest in physiotherapy and massage therapy. UBC Kinesiology is a close-knit faculty, where Rachel can get to know all her classmates. Athletics are a huge part of her family, and in her first year, she tried out for, and made, the rowing team! Rachel is happy to be living in residence, taking a huge step, and being able to test her independence. “The minute I got off the plane, I knew everything was going to be different,” she says.
